Compliance Review Screen
The Theta Lake Compliance Review screen is the primary tool your reviewers will use to view, comment and route records through your review process.

The features and controls available to your reviewers are entirely controlled by the Compliance Review Workflows configured for your environment.
Note: Theta Lake has created a default workflow for you to quickly assign content to your reviewers and give them the tools to start reviewing immediately. If you are satisfied with this workflow, no further action is necessary.
Compliance Review Workflows
Theta Lake Compliance Review workflows are the primary method your review team will view and interact with records. Workflows are collections of interconnected steps that reviewers use to drive reviewable content through the review process. Workflows define how content is reviewed by your team or organization, what steps can be taken, and who is involved in each step.
Reviewer's Workflows control how records are routed to specific groups of reviewers, which actions are available to the reviewer, and which automatic actions Theta Lake will perform.
Workflows take media content (records) after the source media has been analyzed and categorized by policy, and assign the media to be reviewed in a number of steps by the reviewers groups and/or individuals.
To view the Workflows available to you, navigate: Policy > Content Routing > Workflows. From there, you can select any available workflows, and view them in the Visual Workflow Editor.
Visual Workflow Editor
Theta Lake provides a visual workflow editor where you can see and understand the workflow stages, automated events and reviewer options that any record will take as it is routed through the compliance review process.
Theta Lake's Visual Workflow Editor lets you view and edit content review workflows
The visual representation shows exactly how the records will flow through the workflow, which controls a reviewer will have, and which actions the workflow will take automatically without user intervention.
- Stages and colors: Green boxes represent entry stages when content arrives in the workflow and content is assigned to a reviewer's queue. Blue boxes represent the stages when a record is in a reviewer's workflow and is being viewed , and grey boxes indicate review stages where records have been marked as closed.
Workflow Stages (colored boxes), with Entry Actions, Events, and Reviewer Actions
- Entry actions are automated system activities, such as
- filter by a search -- e.g. if the chat session includes attachments, send to this workflow
- take a sample - e.g. send 20% of the records to this review workflow
- assign to a specific group or reviewer -- e.g. send these type of records to the "West Compliance" group members
- Events are system-driven, automatic activities taken by Theta Lake such as
- automatically approve / deny / reject
- automatically copy to an external archive
- notify a reviewer or a submitter via email
- Actions define which review-buttons are available to the reviewer in their review queue in how they handle records, such as: "Start Review", "Close", "Escalate", "Hold", etc.
Workflow Actions define the set of controls (green buttons on the review screen) that are available to the reviewer during the review process.

Your First Reviewer Workflow
Theta Lake will provision your environment with one or more pre-built Review Workflows that are appropriate for your company's use case. You can view this workflow in the Theta Lake portal, under Policy > Content Routing > Workflows.
These are your default workflows, and are designed to make the review process ready for your use as quickly as possible.
Default workflows are already in effect, ready for your content. No additional work is needed, unless you need to modify the workflow with additional review stages, reviewer actions, or automated workflow functions. Custom changes -- when enabled -- are made in the Visual Workflow Editor.
(Advanced) Custom Reviewer Workflows
Theta Lake also provides the ability to create and modify Custom Reviewer Workflows for your environment. When enabled, you can use the Visual Workflow Editor to add stages, automated events, and add and edit the set of user-actions (buttons) available to your reviewers.
